Geography Challenge

Each term we will be having an extra-curricular challenge linked to our curriculum.  This is the chance for you to explore parts of our curriculum in more depth, complete the challenge with friends and family and , most importantly, have fun!

Calling all pupils! In class you have been shown the '30 cool fact about winter' fact sheet. We would like to set you the challenge of completing your very own research project. You can do this by picking the fact that you find the most interesting from the sheet  and then use this to carry out your own research at home.  Example topics that you might like to research could be black bears, record-breaking weather, emperor penguins, ice sculptures or winter on other planets. You could present your research by creating a poster about your chosen topic (perhaps in the style of “10 facts about...”), you could make a model, carry out some mapwork of the coldest regions, showcase yourself in a video presentation, create your own PowerPoint or any other original idea they you may have.

Once you have completed your project please email a photograph/ video or attachment to geography.richardwakefield@deferrerstrust.com by the 14th December.

A selection of work will be selected to put on the website
